Island Packet Appoints New UK Distributor

Island Packet Yachts is pleased to announce the appointment of Walton Marine as distributor for the UK and Ireland.

Island Packet were previously based in Swanwick Marina with Premier Boat Sales and Walton Marine's existing base in Swanwick Marina will expand to accommodate Island Packet operations.

Established in 1975, Walton Marine has a long history in the UK leisure marine business and an enviable reputation for solid service, good value and supplying quality product. Walton Marine is south coast dealer for Prestige Motor Yachts and Jeanneau's largest UK motorboat dealer.

Mike Cook, Walton's Managing Director, is Vice President of the British Marine Federation, and an enthusiastic sailor.

Asked about the appointment, Mike Cook said; “This is a great opportunity for the business to add traditional cruising sailboats to our product range which offer a high quality, offshore cruising focus – well suited to our sailing environment. Island Packet is the most popular premium brand in the US and is a well-established brand in the UK. A seamless handover from Premier is an added bonus; but that is what you would expect from three solid and serious companies focused on customer satisfaction and value. Walton Marine will be appointing suitable trade partners to help them support owners in Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

Island Packet has a 20 year history of sales in the UK and a very active Owner's Association.
